This article shows you the most effective way to treat ingrown nose hair.
Steps
Step 1. Dip a clean cloth in warm water
Insert a small piece of tissue into the nose, gently, to soften the hair follicles. When the cloth has cooled, dip it back into the hot water and repeat the process for several minutes (15-20).
Step 2. Now wet the fabric with slightly warmer water and insert it back into the nostril
Apply light pressure to the ingrown hair with your thumb, through the fabric, while placing your index finger on the outside of the nostril. Rub the tissue over the infected area, moving it back and forth.
Step 3. Remove the cloth from the nostril and find out if the hair has been removed
It may not be easy to determine if all ingrown hairs have been removed, if so continue until the pain is completely gone. Generally ingrown hairs are accompanied by the presence of pus.
Step 4. Soak a cotton pad with disinfectant alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide, and apply it to the infected area inside the nostril
Apply light pressure to the outside of the nose with your fingers, it will be easier to treat the irritated area properly.
Step 5. Apply antiseptic ointment with a clean cotton pad
Repeat frequently until pain and swelling are completely gone. Follow the directions on the medication.
Step 6. If you experience increased pain or swelling, or if there is any redness or traces of infection, see a doctor
In severe cases, ingrown hairs, if not treated in time, could affect the inner walls of the nose.
