Tired of sweating all the time and unable to resist the summer heat? Is your hair frizzy from moisture and your face full of pimples? Are you looking for a way to cool down but you don't know a VALID one? Keep reading this article to find out a few.
Steps
Step 1. Take a shower every day
Use an exfoliating shower gel to get rid of any residue. Use warm water first (because it cleans more thoroughly), then use warm or cold water to rinse yourself off. This will lower your body temperature and feel fresher (ideal for waking up better!).
Step 2. Apply a moisturizer immediately after showering
A great product is baby oil to use instead of regular lotions. Rub it into still wet skin. If you prefer scented lotions, use something lighter. Go for a citrus or floral fragrance. Heavy scents like vanilla or coconut can make you feel warm. The Bath and Body Works company offers different fragrances (Sweet Pea and Cucumber are ideal for summer).
Step 3. Make sure you clean your face regularly
Sweat and oil can build up and clog pores, making your face full of impurities. A good exfoliating cream and a light moisturizer should be fine!
Step 4. Style your hair away from your face and neck
The ponytail is always in fashion. Wash your hair at least once a week (or more often, depending on your hair type) to keep your scalp clean and healthy.
Step 5. Brush your teeth
You should do this at least twice a day. A fragrant breath and clean teeth make you feel fresher. So, to feel fresher in the summer, go ahead with mint toothpaste and chewing gum.
Step 6. Wear shorts, skirts, tops and tank tops, flip flops and sandals
Remember: light colors reflect light and heat, so try to choose clothes in muted shades such as white, pink, yellow and orange. Also consider the fabric. Wear silk blouses for example.
Step 7. Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration, especially if you are going to spend time outdoors
If you play an outdoor sport, bring water or a Gatorade with you and try to stay in the shade as much as possible. A small fan or spray can help you avoid heatstroke.
Step 8. Opt for small refreshing snacks, with fresh fruit like watermelon, grapefruit, rance and strawberries instead of dry snacks like potato chips
The water and vitamins in fruit work better than the sodium in salty snacks.
Step 9. Sleep with the windows open to let in the night breeze, but keep them closed on hot, sunny days
This helps keep the house cooler than the outside temperature and avoid turning on the air conditioners.
