A pulley is a simple machine, consisting of a pulley fixed to a support and free to rotate on its own axis, which can be used to lift or move heavy objects. The pulley can be fixed, mobile or a combination of the two. This tutorial shows you how to build a still one.
Steps

Step 1. After purchasing all the components of your pulley, choose where to install it

Step 2. Mount the pulley on its support locking it with a special pin and with the respective locking nut, as shown in the image
Make sure the pulley can turn freely without resistance

Step 3. Secure your pulley to a wall or ceiling using the appropriate tools

Step 4. Run the rope inside the pulley groove of your pulley

Step 5. Now securely attach one end of the rope to the object you wish to lift or move

Step 6. Pull the other end of the rope and let the pulley do its work, changing the direction of the force you are applying to the rope
Warnings
- When using a pulley to lift very heavy weights, always be very careful. There is always a risk of damaging the ceiling or a wall.
- If you want to use the pulley to lift a very heavy person, test its lifting capacity first to avoid causing damage to property or people.
