If you don't have a steamer available, the rice cooker is a great way to cook fish with this healthy technique.
Steps
Step 1. First wash the fish and remove the scales
Step 2. Once clean, massage it with fine salt
Distribute it on the head and tail as well.
Step 3. Set the salted fish aside for 15 minutes while preparing the rest of the recipe ingredients
You need to chop some celery leaves, finely slice a small piece of ginger and chop the garlic.
Step 4. Place the fish in the center of a dish that fits easily into the steaming tray at the top of the rice cooker
If it looks wet because the salt has pulled the liquids out of the meat, gently pat it dry with a piece of kitchen paper.
Step 5. Place the plate in the top tray of the rice cooker
The ideal is to take advantage of it to cook the rice at the same time. Just put it in the basket below together with the water. This is a great way to save on electricity or gas.
Step 6. When the steam begins to build up, sprinkle the fish with the garlic and ginger you cut earlier
Distribute them evenly.
Step 7. Pour a drizzle of sesame oil and soy sauce directly onto the fish
Step 8. Let the fish cook
The steam that comes from the main basket of the rice cooker, where the rice is cooking in boiling water, will be used to cook the fish to perfection.
Step 9. When the steam subsides, let the rice sit in the pot for 10 minutes
When finished, sprinkle the fish with the chopped celery leaves and serve it to the table.
