Dry, hardened vinyl glue on a fabric can put a strain on its quality. Trying to remove it simply by pulling will risk weakening or damaging the underlying fabric, so follow the effective steps in this guide to take action.
Steps
Step 1. Bring some water to a boil
Step 2. Put on rubber gloves
They will protect your hands from the steam.
Step 3. Identify and prepare the glue-stained area of fabric for treatment
Step 4. Hold the cured fabric over the steam emitted by the boiling water, turning the glue towards the heat
Obviously you will have to be very careful and keep the skin out of the path of the vapor as much as possible.
Step 5. Wait for the glue to soften and again take on a liquid or gel-like appearance
Step 6. Remove the fabric from the steam
Gently use your fingers to peel the softened glue off the fabric, you should be able to remove it easily.
Step 7. Repeat if necessary
Since this is a large area of tissue, it may be necessary to intervene several times.
