A baby cup works best for melting butter. The Primi Passi cup does not overheat and you can pour the butter using the spout.
Step 3. Melt the butter in the microwave
Approximately 30 seconds if at room temperature. 1 minute if cold.
Step 4. Put the popcorn in a bowl
Step 5. Pour the butter over the popcorn
Step 6. Stir the popcorn to spread the butter better
Advice
- If you made the popcorn in the pan, put the butter in the pan and wait for it to melt, then pour it over the popcorn.
- Keep an eye on the butter in the microwave. If it starts to boil, stop the microwave, wait, and then start over.
- Put a sheet of paper on the bowl in the microwave - it allows the butter to breathe and protects against splashes.
- This recipe works best with regular butter and microwave popcorn.
- If you pour butter over the entire bowl of popcorn, I recommend eating quickly as the butter could make the popcorn soft.
- If you want to eat slowly, put the butter in a separate bowl and pour in a little at a time. Warm it up if it gets cold.
- If the butter is about to burst in your microwave but there are still a few pieces that are not melted, use a knife to mix the butter. It will melt in seconds.
- To make sure the popcorn doesn't get soaked, put the popcorn in one bowl and the butter in another bowl of the same size. Combine the 2 bowls and shake vigorously to spread the butter over all the popcorn.
Warnings
- The butter could explode and cover the walls of the microwave. It will be difficult to clean. Keep an eye on it if it starts to boil, or cover the bowl with paper.
- The butter will be very hot when it is melted.
- Butter contains a lot of fat, so your popcorn will be more caloric. You should eat less of it.
- This recipe contains a high level of fat due to the butter.
