Do you want to remove the wallpaper from the plasterboard? Try this quick and easy method.
Steps
Step 1. Find a good place to start and start tearing the paper with your hands
Using a sponge, soak the paper to make removal easier. Scrape or pull the paper off the wall. Do not dig with the stick inside the wall.
Step 2. For large areas, it is best to use a vaporizer to raise the corners of the wallpaper, so they will come off in one large piece and not hundreds of small pieces
Step 3. Once the wallpaper has been removed, allow the wall to dry and remove any paper residue with the stick
Step 4. Use the sandpaper to sand the wall
Fill in holes, gaps, and sand where needed.
Step 5. Before applying new wallpaper, run your hand over the wall to make sure there are no other small pieces of wallpaper
Advice
- If your wallpapers are difficult to remove, use liquid conditioner in hot water and soak the wallpaper with a sponge.
- For vinyl wallpapers: try to separate the vinyl layer from the adhesive layer using a putty knife. Then with the sponge, soak the adhesive layer with water and conditioner.
- Start at the bottom and go up, don't start at the center of the wall.
