This article explains how to select a custom color for all hyperlinks in a PowerPoint slide presentation using a desktop computer.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Windows
Step 1. Open the PowerPoint file you want to edit
Find the presentation you want to edit on your computer and click the icon or file name twice in a row to open it.
Step 2. Click on the Design tab in the menu bar
This button is located at the top left, next to the "Insert" tab. Design options will open in the ribbon, which appears below the toolbar.
Step 3. Click on
to open the "Variants" menu.
The "Variants" menu is located on the right side of the design toolbar. This will open a drop-down menu with the collection of color variants.
Step 4. Hover your mouse cursor over the Colors option, which you see at the top of the drop-down menu
The list of all color options will open.
Step 5. Click Customize Colors
This option is found at the bottom of the menu. A dialog box will open, showing you a list of all the items you can customize.
Step 6. Click on the arrow
next to the "Hyperlink" item on the menu.
The color options available for hyperlinks will be listed.
Step 7. Select the color you prefer for the hyperlinks
With the palette open, click on the color you want to use for hyperlinks. All hyperlinks will be changed to appear in the selected color.
You can also click on "More Colors" at the bottom of the palette to select a color from a continuous color spectrum
Step 8. Click Save on the menu to apply all changes
Method 2 of 2: Mac
Step 1. Open the PowerPoint file you want to edit
Find the presentation you want to edit on your computer and double-click the icon or file name to open it.
Step 2. Click on the Format tab in the menu bar
This button is located in the center of the menu bar, between "Insert" and "Transitions". A drop-down menu will open.
Step 3. Click on Theme Colors on the menu
A new window will appear with all the color options.
Step 4. Click on the box next to "Hyperlink" in the menu
The option will be selected on the menu and the box next to it will be checked.
Step 5. Click Change Color
A color wheel will open allowing you to select a new color.
Step 6. Select a color on the wheel
Click on a point within the color spectrum in order to select a color for the hyperlinks.
Step 7. Click on Ok at the bottom right to confirm your selection
Step 8. Click Apply to All
This button is located at the bottom right of the options menu. The selected color will be applied to all hyperlinks.
