Ear piercings can be difficult to do and even a little painful. Before continuing to read this guide, make sure you have chosen the right sweet piercing.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Instructions for use
Step 1. If you have any of the following conditions, consult your doctor first:
HIV, hepatitis, ear inflammation, epilepsy, skin diseases or disorders, diabetes, open wounds, cuts or abrasions, moles or warts, circulatory disorders (high or low blood sugar), or a predisposition to keloid scar formation.
Step 2. Gather your hair so that both ears are free
Step 3. Wash your hands
Step 4. Prepare the punch gun
(Do not touch the studs with your bare hands.)
Step 5. Blot the lobes with alcohol (or with special disinfectant swabs)
Let the lobes dry.
Step 6. Mark the puncture point on both lobes with a surgical marker
If you need to re-mark the area, clean it with an alcohol swab before proceeding. Do not use any other type of pen or ink.
Step 7. Help yourself with a mirror to define the exact area to be marked
Step 8. Place the gun on the area to be pierced
Step 9. Pull the trigger
(It is impossible to drill slowly.)
Step 10. Release the trigger slowly
Part 2 of 2: Care of the Piercing
Step 1. Do not touch your ears without first washing your hands
Step 2. Clean the new piercing three times a day, even after bathing or washing your hair
Be careful when using perfume or hair spray. Turn the earrings slightly in both directions, including back and forth, to prevent them from sticking to your ear. Make sure they aren't too tight, don't press on your ear, and don't stick to your ear.
Step 3. Do not remove piercing earrings for at least 4-6 weeks, 8-12 weeks for cartilage piercing
Step 4. For the next six months, wear only high-carat gold and surgical steel earrings
For the next 6-12 months, always wear a certain type of earring to prevent the holes from closing.
- Piercing earrings should be left on children's ears for at least 8 months to prevent the hole from closing overnight due to growth.
- If any allergic reactions persist for more than 24 hours, consult your doctor. If you have a cartilage piercing, remove the piercing and consult your doctor.
Advice
- Keep absolute calm when drilling.
- Do not remove the earrings while they are healing.
- The operation should be performed by an experienced jeweler. If the piercing will be done with a gun, make sure it is properly sterilized.
- Use prepackaged saline if possible.
Warnings
- Many professionals only piercings over 16 years of age. However, some agree to carry out the piercing to anyone who is able to ensure perfect hygiene and care, even to minors (with parental permission).
- The ears can get infected, take care of them properly!
- If you have sensitive skin, be careful when choosing earrings at cheap jewelry stores. Cheap metals can infect sensitive ear skin.
