Learn to draw a basic frog, or even a cartoon-style frog, as explained in the second method.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Generic Method

Step 1. Start by drawing an elongated shape, with the left side pointed

Then add two small circles in the upper right part.

Step 2. Now draw the front and back legs, then draw an irregular line for the nostrils and mouth

Step 3. Add details like eyes, mouth with cheek line and belly

Step 4. Finally make circles to simulate the spotted skin of the frog

Step 5. Go over the outline of your drawing with a black pen or marker, then erase the pencil lines with an eraser

Step 6. Color and it's done

Use colors like dark green, green-yellow and beige or white.

Method 2 of 2: Cartoonistic Method

Step 1. Draw two circles approximately 2.5cm in diameter and approximately 4cm apart

Step 2. Draw a straight, horizontal line in each eye

Step 3. Draw a semicircle in each eye to make the pupils

Step 4. Draw a line from the top of the left eye to the right eye

Step 5. Make a curved line from the left of the left eye to the right of the right eye passing under the eyes

Step 6. Now make another curved line that goes further down than the first, thus forming the lower jaw

Step 7. Make two dots between the eyes for the nostrils

Step 8. Draw 3 vertical lines from the chin, approximately 7.5 cm long

These will be the front legs.

Step 9. Draw a line that looks like half of a heart from the chin to the tip of the paws

Repeat on the other side. These will be the hind legs.

Step 10. Draw 6 straight lines that fan out from the leg lines

Step 11. Connect these lines with small bows, to make the webbed legs of your frog

Step 12. Add any details you want to personalize your frog

You are now done. Good job!

Advice

Experiment with pupils of different shapes and positions.
An inexpensive, non-smudge-free alternative to the specific pencil for sketching is a light colored pencil.
Make the mouth red and the pupils black, the rest of the body green; for an even more cartoonish look, draw eyebrows hanging over the frog's head.
