Steps
Step 1. Remove the disc from the player
If you forget to take it off, it's easy for it to get damaged.
Step 2. Unplug the DVD player from power and TV, and remove it from its shelf or container
Step 3. Take a damp cloth and gently wipe it on the top, front and sides of the DVD player
DO NOT wipe the underside of the player with the cloth.
Step 4. If the back or bottom of the player is dirty, use a dry cloth to gently wipe the ports, screws, etc
Step 5. Reconnect the DVD player to the power and to the TV
Step 6. Now insert the “lens cleaner” disk and hit play
This will gently remove the dirt inside the player mechanism. It may take a while.
Step 7. That's it
Now you can enjoy your movies a little better knowing that the DVD player is clean.
Advice
- Clean the inner lens with the lens cleaner if the device has reading problems.
- Clean the DVD player every 3-4 months.
Warnings
- Never use a wet cloth.
- Never clean the player if it is plugged into the mains or TV.
- Do not run the lens cleaner more than once in a row. If used excessively it could damage the lens.
- Do not disassemble the DVD player. Not only would this invalidate the warranty, it would likely destroy it.
