A three-stroke reversal is used to make a 180 ° maneuver in a tight space. This inversion is especially useful in dead ends. We will divide this reversal into 3 steps. However, you will need to practice in an area with little traffic.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Starting Inversion
Step 1. Check with the rear view mirrors that no one is behind you
Start braking slowly, especially if you are going fast.
Step 2. Turn on the right directional arrow when you are 90 meters from where you want to turn
These instructions are valid for all countries where you drive on the right. If you are driving in the UK or Australia, the side of the road will be opposite
Step 3. Stop on the right side of the carriageway
You should be about six to eight inches from the edge of the right side. To the traffic behind it, it will appear as if you are parking along the edge.
Step 4. Wait until there is no one left
You will need to cross the left lane to begin the turnaround so make sure the area is clear.
Part 2 of 3: Perpendicular Inversion
Step 1. Turn on the left directional arrow
So you will report the reversal.
Step 2. Lift your foot off the brake
Meanwhile, turn the steering wheel counterclockwise to turn left. Accelerate slowly.
Step 3. Proceed in the middle of the road
Continue up to 15cm from the left edge of the road.
Step 4. Stop by braking
Your car will now be perpendicular to the traffic lanes.
Part 3 of 3: Full Reversal
Step 1. Turn on the right directional arrow
Check for traffic. Always watch out for vehicles coming in both directions.
Step 2. Put the car in reverse
Step 3. Turn the steering wheel clockwise
Take your foot off the brake as you turn the steering wheel all the way to the right.
Step 4. Accelerate slowly
The car will start moving in the right lane, in the opposite direction to the initial one.
Step 5. Stop when the car is in position away from the edge
Put the car in the right direction and proceed slowly. Now you can accelerate until you reach the speed limits.
