Advice
- Some users have achieved a better result by waiting no more than 30 seconds before removing traces of the dry-erase marker.
- The color of the dry erase marker does not affect the result, however black on black may perform better than blue on black.
- Some people prefer to use disinfectant alcohol or hand sanitizer gel.
- You may have to repeat the first 3 steps several times.
- These methods are also effective on other plastic surfaces, but not all.
Warnings
- Do not use a spray cleaning product to remove the marks of a permanent marker. The situation could even get worse.
- A product that alters the surface of the board will permanently ruin it. Pencil erasers can be abrasive. Nail polish remover can melt the surface of the chalkboard.
- Sometimes it will be impossible to completely get rid of permanent marker marks.
