Continuous washing can create accumulations and residues of detergent in the dishwasher, causing the appearance of unwanted marks on clean plates, cutlery and glasses. Sometimes our dishes can appear so dull that they need a new washing cycle. The secret is to do a regular cleaning of the dishwasher.
Steps
Step 1. Locate the drain filter at the base of the dishwasher
For your dishwasher to work properly you will need to clean it regularly to remove food residues, detergent (especially in the tablet or powder version) and dirt.
Step 2. Clean the dishwasher manually
Use a small brush and scrub off any residual foam and detergent. Dip the bristles of the brush in the white wine vinegar to help dissolve any residue. Don't forget to clean all the walls, racks and baskets of the dishwasher. Also scrub the soap tank, it probably contains a lot of detergent buildup. You can remove stubborn residues with the help of a citrus or eucalyptus oil, apply them to a damp cloth and rub the area.
Step 3. Fill a large bowl with white wine vinegar
Put it in the lower shelf of the dishwasher and turn it on by setting a short wash cycle.
Step 4. After washing clean and dry all surfaces of the dishwasher by wiping
Step 5. Test the effectiveness of the cleaning
The next load of dishes should glow.
Step 6. Repeat the entire cleaning process regularly to avoid buildup of residual detergent
A monthly period is ideal for daily use of the dishwasher. If you use it less often, you can clean it every three months.
