Being stuck at home doesn't necessarily mean getting bored: rather than lazing around thinking about why being at home is so boring, get busy and use this time to do one of those things you've always wanted to do.
Steps
Step 1. Turn on the radio and tune it to a station you don't usually listen to
Or watch something you would never watch.
Step 2. Dance to the music and work your body
You will not only improve your fitness but you will also enjoy changing the type of dance as the rhythm changes.
Step 3. Read that book you have been reading for a long time
If you have to stay home for quite a while, choose a full-bodied book. The classic readings are War and Peace and Gone with the Wind, but you can choose anything you like. If you prefer you can re-read the entire Harry Potter series.
Step 4. Search the DVD for an interesting title, make some popcorn and have a nice evening watching one of your favorite movies
Step 5. Learn a new hobby or activity
Have you ever tried to be a juggler? Or to work with crochet? Or the photographer? There is something for everyone, all you have to do is choose something that interests you.
Step 6. Start a new project using something you already know how to do or finish one that has already begun
Step 7. Prepare something good for the return of your family members
Surprise them with a new recipe.
Step 8. Browse the internet
You will find hundreds of thousands of things to do. You can play games, take a lesson, read an article, search for funny jokes, write an article, chat with a friend.
Step 9. Call your friend
Staying at home doesn't necessarily mean being isolated: surely there is someone you need to talk to. If so, invite him to come to you.
Step 10. Clean and tidy up the house
If you have to stay at home, you might as well make it cozy.
Step 11. Decorate
Change the arrangement of the furniture, or plan a bigger modification, if you can afford it (or if you can go out and buy the necessary).
Redecorating can take you as long as you want. You don't have to make a crochet dress from scratch, but you could if you wanted to
Step 12. Prepare to eat
You can eat any homemade delicacy if you learn the right recipes. If you have a lot of time, you can learn how to make bread.
Step 13. Use your creativity
Compose some music (or start learning to do it). Draw a drawing, write a book or a story or an anecdote or any idea that comes into your head. Carve wood, carve, recite, sing: find your voice and your creative vein. What are you able to do with pen and paper?
Step 14. Look inside yourself
Use this quiet time to meditate, contemplate the world and discover yourself. Who are you? What do you want to be? (also applies to those already "large"). What do you see different in the world than others?
Step 15. Make a list
What would you do with 1 million euros? What would you call a pet monkey? What risks do you like to take? What would you like to do before you die? What would you ask the President (or someone else famous for)?
Step 16. Plant something
Even two well-exposed windows can become a real vegetable garden.
Step 17. Learn something new
Open a random page of the encyclopedia and read what is written. Download Linux and start exploring it. Go out into the yard and look for bugs and try to identify them. Grab a book and try to learn something new and different.
Step 18. Build or invent something
You can create it if you have everything you need, or you can design it on paper. Whether it's a saucer on wheels or a giant time-traveling robot good for a novel, you can free your imagination as much as you want.
Step 19. Rest
Take a nap to recover some energy: even 20 people coming to rest can be enough.
Step 20. Explore one of the thousands of guides you can find on wikiHow and try to put one that interests you into practice
Step 21. Go for a jog
You can simply leave the house for 20 minutes to get some fresh air and get some exercise. All you need is a few dresses and a pair of shoes and you can go wherever you want.
Step 22. Make plans for the upcoming holidays or birthdays
Think about what gifts, decorations and dishes to prepare for these holidays.
Advice
- Don't get caught up in bad thoughts.
- Create new outfits. Do your homework, or origami, curl your hair, read a book, watch a movie, make the bed, do the laundry and wash the dishes - in short, do something that makes you feel good.
- Do something constructive and use your time. You can also unleash creativity inside the walls of the house.
- You can also do these activities with your family, friends or even your pets.
- If you are forced to stay at home all summer, don't spend time lazing around or you'll just get bored even more. Try surfing the internet for something interesting or fun, or invent a new game, or start doing your homework. If you don't like these suggestions, you can pretend to be a great Chef and prepare a delicacy for your relatives or friends to try. You can use your time to clean around the house, because it will make you feel better and you will live in a more beautiful and healthier place. Your parents may even decide to give you some cash for this job!
- Call some friends and invite them over to do something together.
- Try a new stretching exercise and try to stretch yourself more and more.
- If you are forced to stay home for a long time (e.g. due to an injury), call some friends and invite them over to spend time with you.
Warnings
- Follow the rules set by your parents: for example, if you cannot go out because you are alone at home, you will have to respect this rule.
- Know and respect your limits and your abilities. Don't spend money you don't have and don't start projects you can't manage on your own.
