There are some summer days when the craving for a coffee gets insistent, but you just can't tolerate drinking something hot. Read the article and find out how to prepare different variations of an excellent and refreshing iced coffee at home.
Steps
Method 1 of 5: With hot coffee
Step 1. Prepare your coffee
Do it stronger than usual because you will have to dilute it with ice. Based on the amount of ice you will want to use to choose how strong to make it.
Once ready, and when it is still hot, add sugar if you want, it will dissolve easily
Step 2. Pour the coffee into a carafe
Let it cool down to room temperature, then put it in the fridge to chill for a couple of hours.
Step 3. It's ready
Take a tall glass and fill it with your coffee, add ice to taste, and if you want some milk or cream. Mix well and serve.
Method 2 of 5: With ground coffee
Step 1. Mix it cold
This method will give your coffee a natural sweetness and make it very low in acid. Compared to a coffee prepared with hot water, it will also be less bitter.
Step 2. Mix the water and ground coffee powder
Take a pitcher (it should have about 9 cups of water) and pour in about 450g of coffee. Choose a robust flavor blend if you want a strong, aromatic coffee.
Step 3. Add the water
Fill the pitcher with cold or room temperature water.
Step 4. Leave to infuse
Cover the pitcher and let the coffee release its aroma to the water for at least 12 hours, keep the pitcher in a cool place.
After brewing, you will need to separate the water from the coffee powder
Step 5. Filter the coffee
Use a very fine sieve, or cheesecloth, to trap the coffee powder. Filter and pour the water slowly into another container.
- Put a coffee filter (or two layers of paper towels) in the colander to remove even the last particles of coffee.
- You have obtained a sweet and robust concentrated coffee.
Step 6. Serve him
Take a glass and add the desired amount of ice. For each part of concentrated coffee, add three parts of cold water or milk. Add sugar if you want.
Method 3 of 5: Coffee sorbet
Step 1. Take the blender and pour in about a cup of freshly brewed coffee
- Add cubed ice.
- Add 1/4 cup of milk.
Step 2. Turn on the blender for about 10 seconds
The ice should have the consistency of a sorbet.
- Add sugar if you want to make it sweet. If you prefer, add a few drops of vanilla essence or cinnamon, follow your tastes.
- Blend again to mix all the ingredients and get a smooth consistency.
Step 3. Serve and enjoy your coffee sorbet
Method 4 of 5: Shaken instant coffee
Step 1. Dissolve the instant coffee and sugar in the water
Step 2. Add cold milk and crushed ice
Step 3. Pour it into a bottle and shake it
If you don't have a bottle, stir vigorously in the cup.
Method 5 of 5: Possible Variations
Step 1. Flavor your coffee
Add zest, ice cream, or orange juice.
Step 2. Buy some raspberries and raspberry ice cream
Add them to your coffee blend for a truly greedy result.
Step 3. If you are an adult try this combination:
2 parts of cold coffee, 2 parts of Whiskey cream, 2 parts of vodka and a sprinkle of vanilla.
