Making a journal interesting can be difficult, but writing down your feelings and emotions will make you feel better! Read on to find out how.
Steps
Method 1 of 1: Make Your Journal Interesting
Step 1. Find a journal to write on
Search around the house for blank notebooks, journals, etc., or go to a store and buy one. You can buy anything from a spiral notebook to a hardcover journal with a lock. Just make sure it contains many pages so that you can write everything your heart dictates.
Step 2. Personalize it
Many like to add elements that reflect their personality. Add glitter and ribbons, fabric scraps, stickers - whatever you want, to feel yours.
Step 3. It's your diary
You don't have to reveal what you write to anyone, and others don't even have to know that you have one. An important aspect of journaling is being yourself and not holding back your feelings after all.
Step 4. Use pictures, stamps, or whatever you want
There are no rules when writing a diary. You can do whatever you like.
Step 5. Write your diary
This should be the obvious part, but it's where many fail. Interesting annotations make a diary interesting. Don't just record the events of the day - What emotions did they arouse in you? What went through your mind today? Perhaps you have heard something really interesting, or something that has deeply affected you. If so, write it down!
Step 6. Go ahead, mix it all up and enjoy
Advice
- Be yourself in your diary! Don't worry about secrets. It's your diary!
- If you are going to write a lot of secrets in your diary, hide it under the other objects in a drawer, or if it is really secret, you could make a book with a cavity inside, so that everyone will think that it is a simple book, and after find an unassuming notebook that you don't need or use, and write "My Diary" on its cover. Leave your notebook lying around the house and write us some silly sentences like, "I went to my grandmother, I had a good time."
- You could write far-fetched things like "I saw a woman with 4 eyes in the elevator who had her hair down to her feet." They would think it is very boring and would not be attracted to it, therefore they would not look at your real diary!
