Method 1 of 3: Using a Door
Step 1. Get the information you need
Before doing this procedure, make sure you have the model number of the routers.
Step 2. Download the Multiplayer beta server
Do it from the site "https://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp". If you download the.jar version, you will need to run it as "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui"

To get the IP address of the server, go to the site "https://www.whatsmyip.org/" and get the IP of your computer.
Method 2 of 3: Configure it without a Port (in Windows)
Step 1. Download the Minecraft server application
Make sure it is the JAVA version. The others don't work. The address is:
Step 2. Put the file in a separate folder
If you use Windows, put the JAVA file (the file with the.jar extension) in a separate folder and open it.
Step 3. Have patience
You will see several things appear. Wait and then scroll down until you see Network server hosted on (or something like that) and write that address in the direct connection of your Minecraft application. That's it, you should be connected!
Method 3 of 3: Configure It Without Port (In Mac OS)
Step 1. Put the file in a separate folder
If you are using Mac OS, put the JAVA file (the file with the.jar extension) in a separate folder and open it. Next, open textedit and copy this code: java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui. Save the file with the name start.command. When the text box appears, select RTF.
Step 2. Put the file in the server folder
Rename it start.command and click Use.command. Open the start.command file to start the server.
Step 3. You will see several things appear
Be patient. Then scroll down until you see Network server hosted on (or something like that) and write that address in the direct connection of your Minecraft application. You should now be connected!
Advice
- Make sure your server is secure. Hackers often hack people's computers via servers.
- Close heavy applications to make the server run faster.
- If you don't want unknown users to join your server, edit server.properties and set the "white-list" property to "true." Next, list the server users in the white-list.txt file.
- Use a desktop computer because it is undoubtedly more powerful than a laptop.
- Do not play with the computer running the server. You may slow down its functions.

- A Minecraft server needs a hosting network service if you want people to connect.
- Port Forwarding could facilitate a hacker raid trying to find an access point.
