Clash of Clans is an insanely contagious game in which you have to build a fortress, protect it, train troops and attack other players. As you earn more gold and resources, your fortress will become larger and more powerful. This is a simple and easy to follow guide that will help you not to be a newbie in Clash of Clans.
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Part 1: Initial preparations
Step 1. Prepare your base
The first priority is to defend your base so the enemies cannot steal your treasures.
Step 2. Go to the Shop
You will find the items to protect your base are "Defenses". The best starting defenses are walls and cannons. With these you are less likely to be attacked, losing gold and elixir.
Step 3. Since your resources are limited at first, only build walls around the most important buildings
The most important thing is to protect the town hall, the gold and the elixirs. Of course, if you can afford it, build walls around everything, otherwise only build them around vulnerable spots in the city.
Step 4. Think about how to spend gold, elixir and gems
- Use gems to build basic buildings, such as defenses and builders' huts. You will be tempted to spend all the gems right away, but don't. You will need it later.
- Don't spend extra gold and elixir at the start because you don't need them.
Step 5. Decide if you want to use real money to advance in the game
You can buy more gems for real money.
Step 6. There are other ways to get gems without spending any money
So don't worry, you can get gems by removing trees and obstacles from the area around your base.
Be that as it may, the most effective way to spend gems is to invest in builder huts as this allows you to build multiple towers at a time
Part 2 of 4: Part 2: Protecting Your Base
Step 1. Build a strong base to protect yourself from attack
It is very satisfying to see that your enemies attack you but fail in the attempt.
Step 2. Make sure your base is concentrated in a single area and is not scattered
Step 3. Place key buildings in the most defensible locations
It is better to place the warehouses and the town hall in the center of the base, behind defenses and walls.
Step 4. Place the builders' huts in the corners, so when the enemies attack the city center, they don't have time to attack the huts as well
Step 5. Once you've got some resources, make the base even stronger
Step 6. Upgrade your defenses to the next level when you have enough resources
Cannons and mortars are fine at this level.
Step 7. Upgrade the walls to make them stronger
Step 8. Use all possible traps
Traps deal a lot of damage to enemies that attack you and are worth upgrading as they can overwhelm small groups of troops and deal massive damage to even larger ones.
Step 9. Eventually, you will be able to aspire to even the most advanced defenses, such as archer towers and defenses against aircraft
Protect all your defenses. Mortars do a lot of damage with each shot but are very slow. Place them in the center of the base due to their blind spot and large reach. If you don't protect your air defenses, your base will fall.
Part 3 of 4: Part 3: Attacking Others
Step 1. Attack whenever you can
Attacking is always a good idea. There is no downside and you can get valuables and trophies. You may decide to lose trophies to gain resources from weaker enemies. You won't get much with each raid, but it's easier and you'll spend fewer resources on your army. It is easier to steal resources than to produce them. And it's more fun!
- You can see how much gold each base you want to attack has. If it doesn't, don't bother attacking it. If it has a lot of it, it might be well defended against your attacks. If he has large amounts of gold but you think you can do it, attack. Take some risks.
- After a successful attack, you will return home with gold and elixir to spend.
- If you are losing, there is no shame in calling your troops back to base. You can always train more troops later. Recognize when it's time to retire.
Step 2. Attack the treasures
Have your troops attack the warehouses to steal gold and elixir first.
Step 3. When you attack a gold warehouse, it will go straight to your chests
Even if your troops are defeated during the attack, the gold will remain in your bank.
Step 4. You will get even more treasures / bonuses if you completely destroy your opponent's base or town hall
Step 5. After the attack, be sure to train more troops to use in the next attack
To train them, click on the barracks to view the training menu. The best to train at the beginning are barbarians (25 elixirs each) and giants (500 elixirs each).
Step 6. Eventually, you can also build a laboratory
The laboratory allows you to improve your troops, so as to have greater offensive power and better defenses. You will also be able to unlock advanced troops such as archers, wizards and goblins.
Step 7. As you start collecting trophies, you will level up in the league and each league has a bonus of gold and extra elixir when you win a battle
The higher the league, the higher the bonus. Also, the higher the league level, the more dark elixirs you will get.
Part 4 of 4: Part 4: Joining a Clan and Socializing
Step 1. You will need to rebuild the clan castle so you can join one of them
After a couple of days of starting, find your clan castle and develop it.
Step 2. Once you have rebuilt the clan castle, look for a clan to join
Take your time to find the clan that's right for you. You will want to choose one where members are online at the same times as you.
Step 3. Clan members do not attack each other and in fact can share resources and troops as well
Step 4. If you are in a clan, you will be able to chat and meet other people
You will enjoy attacking and defending bases with players of your same experience level.
Step 5. If you don't like the clan you are in, change
You may find yourself in a clan where the members are too old or too young for you. Or, they might speak another language. Either way, there is no shame in changing clans.
Step 6. Once you are in a clan, you will have the opportunity to be promoted to "elder" and this will give you the power to kick other members out of the clan
Step 7. High level members can donate and share their troops
Step 8. If joining a clan isn't your thing, but you enjoy talking to others, there's always global chat
Global Chat is a chat room open to all online players.
-
Remember that you can be banned from global chat if you make excessive use of abusive language"
Advice
Advice on attack and defense:
- It is important to be well prepared both in attack and in defense.
- If you're in a clan, it's a good idea to share troops - the more troops you share, the more likely you are to get the same in return.
- Developing the Clan Castle is a great idea as it is the perfect way to power up your attacks without spending elixir.
- Train troops when you are about to attack with a full army, so once the raid is complete, more troops will have been trained - the result is less waiting for troops to produce.
- Your clan cannot be attacked by other players while online.
- The single player mode is also a good way to earn gold and elixir (especially at high levels).
- Vary your troops to find a combination that suits your play style. Once you have found the right combination wait until you unlock more troops. Try several.
Other tips
- You can also remove bushes, trunks and trees for the occasional bud.
-
Pay close attention to the various updates as many can be really beneficial for you. For example, SuperCell often reduces the amount of gems required to produce towers over a period of time.
SuperCell Clash of Clans updates can be found on their Facebook page [1]
-
When you want to recruit members for your clan, try spreading the word in the global chat.
Offering positions such as senior may entice other players to join, but it will make you seem desperate for members
Warnings
- Clash of Clans is an online multiplayer game, so it's not recommended to play if you're using an iPhone without a rate plan that includes unlimited internet use or a Wi-Fi connection.
