The puzzle can be found in the Mall level. It is found in a bookstore called My Bestsellers. You have to finish this puzzle in order to continue with the game.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Solving the Puzzle on Easy Difficulty
Step 1. Take the Shakespeare books that have fallen to the ground
In this difficulty, there will be only two books that have fallen to the ground: Anthology 1 and Anthology 3.
Step 2. Examine the bookshelf
You can place the books you have collected from the floor in the empty parts.
Step 3. Click on Anthology 1 and place it in the first opening of the shelf
Step 4. Click on Anthology 3 and place it in the third opening of the shelf
A code will appear after placing the two books correctly.
Step 5. Use the code on the back door of the bookstore
In this puzzle, you just have to put the books in the right order: (from left to right) Anthology 1, Anthology 2, Anthology 3, Anthology 4, and finally Anthology 5
Method 2 of 3: Solve the Puzzle on Normal Difficulty
Step 1. Read the note on the door
It will read “The just is unjust, and the unjust is right. Put these books out of the box."
Step 2. Collect all the books on the floor
There will be 5 books on normal difficulty.
Step 3. Examine the bookshelf
You will be able to place the books in the empty parts.
Place the books at random; the order doesn't matter because this puzzle is randomly generated
Step 4. Look closely at the books
You will see black marks on them; this is the code you need.
Step 5. Distribute the books until you get the right order
It won't be too difficult because the numbers are written quite clearly.
Try to make out the numbers on the backs of the books and keep moving them until you solve the puzzle
Method 3 of 3: Solving the Puzzle on Hard Difficulty
Step 1. Know the title of each Anthology
In order to find the title of the book, you will need to open your inventory and choose to examine the books.
- Anthology 1 is Romeo and Juliet
- Anthology 2 is King Lear
- Anthology 3 is Macbeth
- Anthology 4 is Hamlet
- Anthology 5 is Otello
Step 2. Decipher the first verse of the clue
- This verse reads "The first words on your left hand."
- This is a clue to solving the puzzle; it means that you will have to arrange the books from left to right.
Step 3. Place Anthology 4 on the first point on the left in the bookshelf
The first verse reads "mock madness" and "unbearable words", which is a reference to the plot of Hamlet.
Step 4. Place Anthology 1 on the second shelf space
The second verse is the easiest to decipher, "playing death" and "nameless lover" refers to the last parts of Romeo and Juliet.
Step 5. Place Anthology 5 on the third space of the shelf
This verse refers to Othello, referring to Desdemona's innocence and Iago's lies.
Step 6. Place Anthology 2 on the fourth space of the shelf
This verse refers to the story of King Lear, in which his daughter Cordelia refuses to talk about how much she loves her father as opposed to the other sisters' fake flattery.
Step 7. Place Anthology 3 on the last space of the shelf
And with all 5 books on the shelf you would have the right code
Step 8. Decipher the last clue
41523 is not the code; in the sixth verse you will receive further instructions.
- "41523-A man eager for revenge has shed blood for two" (Hamlet). It means you have to double Hamlet, which is 4. Now our code is 81523.
- "81523-Two young people shed tears for 3"; this refers to Romeo and Juliet, so you need to replace 1 with 3. Now our code is 83523.
- Finally, “3 witches disappear” (Macbeth reference), which is Anthology 3. You will need to remove it from the code. The final access code is 8352.
