Have you been on an internet forum and noticed that in the lower part of some users' posts you can see rectangular photos with their name? Have you ever wanted to be envied by your friends on the forums? Ever wanted to just make your posts less boring? Here's everything you need to know.
Steps
Step 1. Find out your forum rules on image signatures
Usually images larger than 500 pixels or those exceeding 1MB in size will be prohibited. On other forums, however, the photos will be automatically resized to the required size.
Step 2. Choose the image you want for your signature
You can choose a funny picture, an animation from a TV show, a clever line from a comic, or a-g.webp
Step 3. Upload your image
You can upload it to a photo sharing site, such as Photobucket, Imgur, or Tinypic, etc. Forums have a limited bandwidth, so they don't allow direct upload of images.
Step 4. Copy the URL of your image
Step 5. Go to the "Account Settings" section of the forum and click "Edit signature" or something similar
Step 6. Enter the link in the relevant field
Step 7. Enjoy your new signature
Advice
Your forum may have a discussion dedicated to signatures. If you create one that is fun enough, you might get sued
Warnings
- Some forums don't allow new users to add a signature to their posts, and others don't allow signatures at all.
- Remember to check the forum rules before creating your signature. This way you can be sure to avoid trouble with the administrators.
- Don't include content in your signature that other people might find offensive.
