Muscle pains are an annoying consequence of exercise, illness, or fatigue. Here are some tips on how to treat them.
Steps
Step 1. Massage the muscles
It is usually quite painful, but if you rub them enough, the pain subsides. You can ask a friend to help you.
Step 2. Take a warm bath
The hotter it is, the better. You can use a shower gel for aromatherapy or bath salts. Hot water soothes the muscles and helps to relax them.
Step 3. Use a lotion
This is also another form of aromatherapy, and you can apply it while massaging your muscles.
Step 4. Stretch
Stretching the muscles before and after physical activity can eliminate soreness before it even occurs. Avoid stretching cold-contracted muscles, as you may be pulling on a ligament. Stretch only when your muscles are "warm" after warming up.
Step 5. Use heat
As with a hot bath, heat is the best way to soothe sore muscles. Radiators, stoves, small pets, and electric blankets work well.
Step 6. Put on a pain reliever cream
There are several brands and they work really well. Many famous athletes use them.
Advice
A great place to find relief from muscle aches is the SPA. You can get yourself massages, treatments and aromatherapy baths. You will feel pampered and regenerated
Warnings
- Do not apply a hot or ice pack to your skin after spreading a pain reliever cream or any other type of topical pain reliever, as you could cause severe skin burns without even realizing it.
- Don't put pain relief cream on sensitive areas, and make sure you don't have an allergic reaction by testing it on a small area of your skin before using it.
- When stretching, don't stretch so much that it hurts, but only as long as you feel it is good for you.
