This article explains how to find out if your Skype account has been blocked by a contact. Since no warning is sent in such a situation, this can be determined by examining certain sections within the profile of the user in question.
Steps
Step 1. Open Skype
The icon looks like a white S on a light blue background.
- If you are using Android or an iPhone, tap the icon on the home screen or in the app drawer (Android).
- If you use Windows, you will find it in the operating system menu.
- If you're using a Mac, look for it in the Dock or Launchpad.
Step 2. Log into your account
If prompted, enter your login information, then tap or click "Login".
Step 3. Look for the user in question in your address book, which is located on the left side of the screen
If you see a gray question mark or an X to the left of this user's name, you may have been blocked. However, this can also mean that he has deleted you from the address book
Step 4. Tap or click on the username to open their profile
Several signs will allow you to understand if you have been blocked on Skype.
- If you see a message in your profile that says "This person has not shared their details with you", it is possible that they have blocked you.
- If your profile picture shows the default Skype icon instead of an actual photo, you've probably been blocked.
