If you want to practice your animal drawing skills, learning how to reproduce a hamster is perfect for practice. Although a hamster's body structure may appear simple, its specific characteristics make it suitable for lending realism to your drawing. Get a sheet of paper and a pencil and don't wait any longer!
Steps
Step 1. Draw a circle
It will be the head of the hamster.
Step 2. Connect a large "U" shape to the bottom of the circle
You just drew the hamster's body.
Step 3. Erase the lower portion of the circle to connect the hamster's head to the body in a realistic way
Step 4. Draw two small circular shapes for the hamster's eyes
Step 5. If you have decided to draw a 'hamster' give her long thick lashes
Step 6. Draw the pupils
Color the inside of each eye by leaving out a small circular shape facing the center of the hamster's muzzle.
Step 7. Draw a small inverted triangle under the eyes
Erase the top of the triangle and get the hamster's nose.
Step 8. Under the nose, draw a rounded letter "E", as in the image, rotated 90 degrees to the left
It will be the upper lip.
Step 9. Complete the mouth with a small pointed "U" added under the upper lip
Step 10. With three curved and descending lines, placed on each cheek, draw the mustache of the hamster
Step 11. Draw two large circles on the top of the head to create the ears
Step 12. Add depth to the ears by adding two second inner circular shapes to the first ones
Step 13. Draw two "U" shapes to create the front legs placed on the central part of the body
Don't forget to add the hind legs as well.
Step 14. Add some details, such as tufts of fur, claws, and a seed held between the legs
Step 15. Color your drawing
You can define your hamster's fur with sinuous and irregular lines. If you wish, use two different colors.
