Folding paper to make a secret note is a fun and easy way to pass the time in class; Plus, it's perfect for sending secret messages to your teammates while surprising them with your skills!
Steps
Step 1. Prepare the piece of paper
Take a sheet of A4 paper and cut 3 cm from the length (this step is essential, otherwise you will not be able to make the note).
Step 2. Fold the paper in half, like a hot dog, along the vertical axes
Make sure that the side of the writing is facing inwards, so as to hide the message.
Step 3. Fold the paper in half again
At this point, you will have a long, thin piece of paper in your hand.
Step 4. Fold the sides diagonally to create triangles
Make sure the two sides of the triangle are parallel, not quadrilateral (two parallel sides and two non-parallel sides), but rather like a parallelogram (two pairs of two parallel sides).
Step 5. Fold each triangle diagonally again forming a thin parallelogram at each end
Fold in such a way that the triangle closest to the center of the rectangle goes upwards, parallel to the longest side of the rectangle. Folding both triangles in this way will form an "S" turned 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Do not fold the triangle inwards, otherwise you will get a rectangle (which would be wrong)
Step 6. Fold the edges of the parallelograms in front of the center
At this point you should have two triangles forming a square in the center with two triangles of the same size on each side.
Step 7. Take the triangle that is above the square, then fold the edge under one of the triangles in the square
Step 8. Take the triangle at the bottom of the square and slide it under the edge of the other triangle in the square
Step 9. Look at your note
Step 10. Finished
Advice
- In order not to make a teacher understand the content of the message, try writing in code (in this case, explain the code to your friend first).
- If you want, put small pieces of paper inside the "pocket" on each side of the square. Use them to distract or hide the true content of the message.
- Know that if you write very personal facts, there is a risk that other people will read your message.
- Make sure that the folds of the paper are smooth, to create a more beautiful and professional-looking card.
- Be careful not to get caught by your teacher, be quick when you pass the note and ask the recipient of the message not to be noticed.
- It will take a little patience the first time, but you will see that with practice your card will be perfect.
Warnings
- Make sure the recipient knows how to open the ticket correctly.
- Write on the top half of the card; some areas of the lower portion will be visible even after folding the square.
- Remember to cut about 3 cm from your paper, otherwise, when you get to step 5, you will have a rectangle instead of a square. In this case, fold a small piece in the center to make a square.
