It's time to admit it: nowadays everyone is looking for ways to save some money and it is even more true as Christmas approaches. How to give someone a creative and inexpensive gift? A snow globe of course! Sure, you can go out and buy a snow globe, but does it have any meaning? You can build your own sphere with items you probably already have at home!
Steps
Step 1. Remove the lid from your jar
Step 2. Glue your figurine or ornament inside the jar lid
Find out where you want to put the sticker by trying out different positions. Once you have found the right position, apply the adhesive sealant under the bottom of the figurine. Then press it against the lid and hold it like this for about 2-5 seconds depending on its size.
Step 3. Let it dry
It should take about a day for the decoration to stick to the lid.
Step 4. Fill the jar
Now that the adhesive sealant is dry and the figurine is fixed, it's time to fill the jar. Take some water from a bottle and pour it into the jar filling it almost to the edge.
Step 5. Add the glycerin
Put a drop of glycerin in it. A "drop" means you should turn the glycerin bottle upside down for 1 second. The glycerin will make the glitter, ie the "snow", fall more slowly.
Step 6. Pour some glitter
Use plastic ones and sprinkle a small amount in the water. After you have reached the right amount of glitter, mix the contents with a teaspoon to mix the glycerin, water and glitter.
Step 7. Fill the jar to the brim
It must be full, unless you want air bubbles in your snow sphere.
Step 8. Close the cap
Keeping the jar straight, simply put the lid on the jar and close it. A little water may leak out of the lid at first, but that's only because it's overflowing. Once you've dried off the excess water, turn the jar over and you've built a glass sphere out of snow!
